Something interesting happened fairly recently that I didn't catch right away and it involves Gamergate. Now looking at this article and the employee, you're supposed to think 'Poor woman, how could the internet be so mean to her?' apparently she was just some random animator that a gamergater mistakenly thought was the lead animator for the project.

For the record the animation was shit and that's what most people are criticising her for, there are one or two people jumping to conclusions and claiming she was hired purely because she was a woman. Given the state of the games industry, I can't really blame them for thinking that but it's still unproven.

However, note what the article has done here, some of these comments are dumb, but none of them are genuinely bad, they're just very critical of the game and idiotically the person they perceived to be the root cause of the problem. Yet we're supposed to be believe just like with all these other high profile cases like with Anita Sarkeesian and Jess Phillips that the internet is filled with evil misogynists who are purely attacking these people purely because they're women? I happen to look at this situation and see a pissed off mob that chose some random employee to vent their frustrations on, dicks yes, but hardly misogyny, the media has run with this regardless though.

And that's not including the sexually explicit ones. Oh, what a wonderful place the internet is.

Why don't they post these horrible comments up? What's preventing them? Tact? Don't give me that shit, whenever they have anything close to a real victim ( Even if it turns out to be completely made up in the end ) media sites like this are more than happy to scream at the top of the rooftops about it and demand action from the U.N and their country's politicians to put a stop to it and they'll practically spam it all at once all over google as well to prevent any smaller news sites that might have some rational points from getting a word in.

Yet mysteriously, not one example from them about these 'horrible comments', just people mostly posting legitimate criticism and venting their frustration. It's another classic example of feminist overreaction and slander against various groups of men in particular trying to paint them all as vile misogynists, this article isn't even fucking transparent about it.

To get people like this who make such assertions about others, just keep asking them for evidence, if they keep dodging and trying to start throwing accusations at you, they're hiding something, you don't even need to get into an argument or debate with them.
