OP, you miss a big point: for there to be a porn, a child was abused to make this porn. And thats disgusting, no matter who is watching it.

What are we calling children, here? 14-17 year olds? its completely normal for adults to be attracted to 'children' of that age range as well. Its still considered disgusting.

And she's right, they should be charged (not like pedophiles because that is NOT a legal claim in any country) as child sex predators. Because viewing porn of people below 18 is damaging and harmful to the person exposed. The logic for why adults can't have it is exactly the same as the logic for why 'children' can't have it as well; because it exploits someone who's a 'child'.

Suppose we really believe that age of consent and child porn laws are realistic and are meant to protect a vulnerable class of people. Why should we GRANT A FREE PASS to children who exploit other children?

They want to levy more crimes against the assailants for recording the underage sex act (rape) which occurred. I'm okay with this. I'm also okay with charging 'underage' teens with distribution and possession of child porn if they sext 'age peers'.

Because we have these laws for a reason, and if an adult can't have access to that kind of material, neither should a 'child'. Its not about the pervert holding onto the material, its about the damage to the person who has been recorded.
