TradCons have long held that marriage civilizes men, but in Civilization And Its Discontents, Sigmund Freud argues that marriage civilizes women. I tend to think that it civilizes both, but that in the west the law now so penalizes men that any man who gets married is inviting disaster and we're better off going Galt (MGTOW). So who, really, is being harmed by the decline of marriage?

So, because they've not learned the behaviours for endurring marriages, because they haven't seen male roles modelling positive stress tolerance, then they don't know good stress tolerance and can't use positive marriage behaviours?

FYI, if boys aren't seeing their parents using loving conflict resolution, then the girls, too, don't see the same. And we get the next generation of bullying wives and husbands who slam doors.
