TL,DR 20yr old male, chased 26yrold female, got into her apartment, tried to escalate (went for a kiss) but fail because he was too "young" aka "childish". Later she texted to ask to go out for ice cream and told the guy to forget about the question + said she had not given a reply yet.

Long story

After I read the book No More Mr. Nice Guy, I really want to make a change to my life, to be a alpha, to be a normal guy feeling good about his sexuality.

Here is a great example of me being a beta male aka Mr. Nice Guy. I took this as a lesson learned and really want you guys' feedbacks to know what I can improve.

So the back story is that I am a 20 years old, typical beta male, shy when talks to girl I like. She is a 26 years old, cute looking female (I know, I have a thing for older girl). We knew each other through a ethnic group in college since we are both from Vietnam. Last Sat, I went with her to a small pool getogether (around 4-5 people). She did not know how to swim, but still decided to go to the pool. As the result, she almost got drown. I was the first one to jump in the pool and save her ass (The Hero Feelings, best kind of feel for Nice Guy like me). I saw this as an opportunity so next day, I asked her out to go biking with me along side a lake (beautiful scenes around, etc).

Fast forward, it's already 5:30pm on Monday. 121F outside (since it's AZ). I went to her place and use the excuse of "gettin some water" to come into her place. We sat down and started talking. Apparently, she did not think that the invitation to go biking with me as a "date". She also said that I am "childish" since I am so much younger than her and she taught college kids like me before. I tried to escalate things and went for a kiss but got rejected with the same reason (me being "childish"). After spending 60 minutes with her talking while I was trying to learn more from her body languages, I decided to call it quit and asked her out for a "real date" as like "Hey, I do not care about the age gap at all, so do you want to go with me on a real date ?". She did not say anything at first, so as a beta male and a typical Mr. Nice Guy, I decided to leave and tell her that I would not force her to make the decision now (fml, how can I be so stupid, Nice Guy instincts kicked in).

It was around 6:30pm when I left her place, so I decided to go to gym to clear out my head and try to get through this L. 7:09pm - she texted me - "Whenever you have time, please bring me to get some ice cream" (I have never done this before with her) I did not want to text back right away + I was in a middle of my lifting routine. 7:53 - she texted again - "hey, did you consider that as a rejection ? I will look at it as like you have not spoken about it and I have not given you any answers yet, okay ?"

I wanted to text her back like "how "childish" of you, joke, so should we do the "mature" thing and go for a real date?" but I am afraid this would make me lose my last frame (like if I ever had any"). I have not texted her back at all. What should be my next steps + what should I do to avoid these "drama" again ? Thanks.
