He's basically saying 'Blacks here have been better-off than they would have been in Africa.' That's ridiculous.

But all other considerations aside, if you think the House Unamerican Activities Comittee, blacklisting, and McCarthyism were bad, then I might skip listening to John Wayne's political and social views.
