Rape reporting done right: "The man, who cannot be named..." was found not guilty. Well done Queensland!

Australia's rape Kafka-trap confirmed: you can plead innocent, but dont dare suggest your accuser is lying. Man punished for defending accusations of sexual abuse - the final pillar of a fair trial has been abolished after standard of evidence, presumption of innocence and burden of proof have gone.

If a woman aborts a foetus she is gloriously exercising a human right. If a man (who is denied that right by law) asks her to do the same, he is a monster. Funny how it's a "baby" now not a foetus.

Wow. Australian study shows that "blind recruitment" exposes women as less competent than men. So what we really need is illegal anti-male discrimination!

Good to know the value of two little boy's lives who were murdered. This was a callous and premeditated crime by the evidence outlined. This is an absolute miscarriage of justice.

She ended up killing herself so she brought herself to justice. Which is good as a misandristic legal system never would.

According to FBI statistics, mothers are the cause of 40% of children's murders. Fathers, 17% or half as much.

And that does not count abortions and 'sudden deaths' of course.

Hey I was wondering if you could provide a source for those numbers? This article that uses FBI statistics says otherwise and this article from Brown university says otherwise as well.

Both articles say fathers are responsible for a slightly larger percentage of filicidal acts.

Among offenders, while fathers were about equally likely to kill an infant, they were more likely to be the alleged murderer of children older than a year, especially when the children were adults (fathers were the offenders in 78.3 percent of those cases). Overall, fathers were the accused murderer 57.4 percent of the time.

The data allowed the researchers to determine the most common filicide scenarios. A father killing a son was the most likely (29.5 percent of cases), a mother killing a son (22.1 percent) follows. A mother was slightly more likely to kill a daughter (19.7 percent of cases) than a father was (18.1 percent). The rarest instances were stepmothers killing either a stepson (0.5 percent) or a stepdaughter (0.3 percent).

It is because the FBI data divides it in mother (alone) and mother (plus someone else). Each one is about 20%. Women very frequently elicit or pay someone else to help in the killing of their children.

I would love to read a source if possible. I've already tried googling even those exact numbers you gave but came up empty.

Figure 4–3 Child Fatalities by Perpetrator Relationship, 2009

Mother + other: 9.8%

Most homicides of young children are committed by family members through beatings or suffocation. Although victims include approximately equal numbers of boys and girls, offenders include a disproportionate number of women. Homicides of young children may be seriously undercounted.

Women are responsible for 43 percent of the deaths of children under age 12 who are killed by identifiable persons, a percentage that has been relatively stable since the 1980s (Federal Bureau of Investigation,1997). Women overwhelmingly kill very young children (75 percent of their juvenile victims are under age 6) and members of their family (79 percent).

Cowardly:

Thus, women who kill are heavily concentrated in child maltreatment homicides and infanticides.

What I mentioned:

Interestingly, 20 percent of the homicides of children committed by female offenders involve an additional offender, almost always a male accomplice (Federal Bureau of Investigation, 1997).

And the pussy pass:

Women who kill children are more likely to be labeled mentally ill than men who kill children and are somewhat more likely to commit suicide (Silverman and Kennedy, 1988).

Young children:

In the United States, FBI data do identify victims murdered during the first 6 days of life (victims of what is sometimes called neonaticide), and in 1997, there were about 70 such victims (Federal Bureau of Investigation, 1997). Two-thirds were murdered by mothers, one-half of whom were under age 20. Fathers were responsible for about 1 out of 10 of these murders.

How is being mentally ill and committing suicide a pussy pass? Considering the prevalence of PPD and an abysmal lack of mental health care and perinatal care in the US, surely those infant deaths and suicides are actually a symptom of a larger social problem rather than a tool you can use to paint women as a pack of rabid heartless baby killers?

Anyway, the numbers you gave me initially are still misleading.

Basically the source you yourself gave me has mothers being fully or partially responsible for 44% of child death and fathers being fully or partially responsible for 30% of child death. It is very interesting you left out the number for both mother and father being the perpetrators together - but only for the men's totals. It changes the numbers quite drastically.

And if women are responsible for 43% of child death under the age of 12, who is responsible for the remaining 57%?

So yes, quite a discrepancy. But not as wild as you claimed - your original claim was extremely misleading. It's very interesting how statistics can be "interpreted" given enough volition.

[These numbers (not FBI btw but no reason to doubt validity ) are in direct contradiction to the sources I found which coincidentally were FBI but I read the report in good faith and did my best to reconcile your initial two comments with your actual source. Not quite perfect but closer than the data from my source.

So I guess it is a matter of choosing which source to recognize.

or partially responsible for 30% of child death

No. Fathers are just 18%. The "other male" is not a father.

[–]NomDuGloom 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Nowhere in your source does it say their mental illness allowed them to get off. And in cases where it did, you know why that is right? There is a whole process of determining culpability due to soundness of mind. It's pretty crucial to the criminal justice system. And commuting suicide is not "getting off"? So...? Again? What does their mental illness and suicide rate have to do with pussypass?

Also No sorry, you completely ignored the section where both mother and father were responsible look again. You like, completely excluded it. When I included it, I got the adjusted numbers. That adds quite a number.

And for the second point it said "identifiable killers." As in not random unknowns. And I assume a portion of the "traffickers and drug criminals are male?" And what percentage are the fathers?

Seriously. Look at the numbers that you provided again. You will see you were quite a ways off.

Perhaps we should hang posters around town saying, "TEACH MOTHERS NOT TO KILL THEIR CHILDREN" /s

This woman killed herself before her retrial in Canada, IIRC.

[–]the_unseen_one 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The worst part about this is that this poor man and father had to be the one to find his own children's corpses. It's cruel enough for him to lose his children, but to have to find their rotting bodies that their evil mother simply left to rot is truly the most horrible part. I feel sick.

Edit: Or maybe this is the worst part.

"Forensic computer analyst Dwayne Pilling told the court Ms McConnell had typed into a search engine on her computer ''How long does it take to drown?'', ''How long does it take to die from strangulation?'', ''electrocution by hair dryer in bathtub'' and ''How long can you go without food and water?''."

Jesus fucking christ, boys are considered 1/20th of a girl!?

[–]Badgerz92 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's a big discrepancy but I don't like drawing conclusions from individual cases. Does anybody have numbers on the overall sentences for parents killing a boy vs girl? This study on vehicular homicide found that drivers who kill women get 56% longer sentences than drivers who kill men. I wonder what the difference is for parents killing boys/girls

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I have half a mind to research that.

Only one of them was believable
