She is a self important person who often confuse facts from opinion. If she had something to offer to the discussion, she would not play a victim. A real journalist will know the subject matter they speak of. She is more like a Op Ed columnist that wants to feel like her opinion has merit. When she is told that she needs to support her statements, she drops the victim card. Everyone must be a bigot or racist except her because they let her know she can't back up her claims.
