Need advice: Can I apply for jobs as a "female" even though I'm clearly male? Would you have to prove anything? Would I have to get my DL changed?

Answer: no, you cannot. Generally speaking, it's hard enough for a trans people to get jobs, and they genuinely are born one gender and identify as the other.

Unless you're planning to go full-Mrs. Doubtfire and be a woman at work every day, and expect not to accidentally break character, you're going to get found out. They'll fire you, and probably find a way to sue you for lying to them.

Plus, the bank won't cash your paychecks if you don't have your name on it, and unless your name is gender-neutral, that's going to be a wrinkle.

If you hate the 50/50 policy anyway, why would you want to work for GE?

You can't. You're fucked. They will find out and they won't hire you. You won't need to convince them that you're female. You need to convince a judge when you sue for discrimination. Hope you have lots of money.
