While I agree with you that saying this about legitimate refugees is wrong, the problem with the middle east though is, things just aren't as clear cut as the left or this guy is making them out to be. There are legitimate refugees and then there are Jihadis and economic migrants who are actually using the politically correct attitudes towards migrants from the middle east as a cloak to hide exactly what they're up to.

These people then settle in western countries and then everybody wonders all of a sudden why we've all been having so many terrorist incidents recently. If you're going to accept refugees, have proper checks done on them so we know who they are and then they can also live here safely.

What people who constantly preach about these migrants is that just blatantly letting in so many people at once without checking them don't realise is it actually puts these people at risk because the scumbags from their countries who were hunting them in uniform are now hunting them on the streets as well.

I really just want people to use their fucking brains on this, this is the classic feelings over fact and the media are just posting sob stories about all these migrants constantly and deliberately emotional and horrific photographs to shock people on purpose. Some will be lying about these stories to get in and some won't, we need to find out who is telling the truth so everyone is safer.

Frankly, it's remarkable to me that not wanting to be shot up by a bunch of Jihadis out in the street or decapitated by groups of people who openly state that is their intention is now bigoted and racist. People are making the exact same mistake they made going into the middle east in the first place and just assuming that they know everything about the place and the people that are coming here.

Don't make me remind you about the EU Vice president actually admitting the majority of these people don't qualify for refugee status.

Vetting refugees makes sense and is essential. ISIS has even publicly stated that they are disguising operatives as refugees and multiple security agencies have acknowledged that this is a credible threat.

She also has a point.

Estimates place the amount of ISIS fighters somewhere between 20,000-30,000 if you use normal estimates and 80,000-100,000 fighters if you take high estimates. It is estimated that around 65% of these fighters are in Syria.
Syria has about 23,000,000 inhabitants. If you assume about 50% of them are children and elderly which is being generous given population pyramids of the nation. That leaves about 11,500,000 people in the fighting age bracket. Of those 5,750,000 are men and since the vast majority of combat deaths and front line troops are male we'll assume only men fight.
This would mean that you would have about 57.5-287.5 fighting age men for every ISIS fighter depending on the estimate. Even if they had no weapons whatsoever ISIS would have no chance against such a force. They'd be finished in a week.

All people have had to fight for their freedom and against tyranny and the vast majority were at much worse odds. The reason we in the West are free is because our forefathers laid down their lives time and time again for our freedoms.

That bitch can judge Syrian men when she grabs a gun and fights in that war herself, once she figures out which side is the good guys in that fight, the religious extremists or the dictator who gases his own people.
