For those who are about to justify her act, she had the domestic violence act to protect her. And her allegations are not proven yet.

I'm conflicted on this. on one hand, it seems the husband was, in fact, an absolute monster whose constant abuse made a teenager kill himself. but on the other, this pardon sets a scary precedent of allowing vigilant justice. it is scary because when an alleged crime is terrible enough (murder, rape, especially involving children) the gut reaction is to forget all about due process and "innocent until proven guilty". and since the guy is now dead he can no longer defend himself.

I think in this case the right thing to do is carry on the criminal investigation. if the woman is telling the truth the defense that she acted under extreme stress and fear makes sense. but if she made it up, it's premeditated murder.

pardoning her before the investigation is complete is completely ridiculous.
