Schizoaffective people often don't have a firm grip on reality. My grandmother's neighbour is schizoaffective, and he is absolutely convinced that people are breaking into his home at night and scratching his favourite wristwatches. He built a 7 ft wall around his house to keep them out, but he says they are still getting in. He wholeheartedly believes what he's saying.

You'd think with her diagnosis that this would've been investigated a bit further. I mean, it was a crowded restaurant - lots of witnesses but it seems they were never questioned? Was she ever psychologically evaluated by the courts?
