Unprovoked 'one punch' attacks are now subject to harsh penalties in Australia unless the perpetrator is a woman in which case she gets off with a small fine as usual.

Which begs the question, what do feminists have to lose by letting men have a day?

Mostly, everything.

Their rethoric is based on thought-terminating clichés. debating would turn them into thought-terminated lies.

.

This quote by an Mrs Ally Fogg, summarizing feminism in politics:

“Surely they realise that such swipes barely tickle at the men in designer suits who run the banks, the governments and the corporations, while cutting deep at the homeless, the desperate, the suicidal, the young victims of rape and sexual abuse leaving care and going straight to prison. They must feel so proud.”

Yep, this is pretty much how hatred breeds hatred.

F$$$ me - I thought I was only one round here who addressed the Coercive control issues that go hand in hand with feminism.

Feminists are nothing new.

They're not even a cause, just a symptom.

One can only wait and see how long it will take to expose and address the gross gender imbalances that have been politically propagated since the 1970's. One Political injustice that needs prompt attention is the Wilful Blindness of how Erin Pizzey (Humanist and Activist) has been ignored for honours. One has to hope that will be addressed promptly in the new year.

Actually, I think an IMD Parliament speech would be an appropriate occasion to propose Mrs Pizzey for an honour.

Erin did have quite a following in Parliament at one time and she used to get mentioned often! Some have praised her work, though sadly it seems now most have just exploited her work, stating how groundbreaking and amazing it was - opening up whole areas to investigation and oversight, from elder abuse to disability issues, human rights and more. Really, so many outside of the field of DV-IPV and the Women's Refuge Industrial Racket have so much to be grateful for from Erin Pizzey.

It's sad given how Erin was first mentioned in Parliament 43 Years Ago "..a compassionate and remarkable woman who first identified the problem, then promptly did something about it. Her pioneering work deserves great tribute, especially as it has been conducted in face of indifference and sometimes hostility." Jack Ashley MP, Battered Wives, debate – House of Commons at 12:00 am on 16th July 1973.

A List of those who have used her name and had it recorded in Hansard;

  • Jack Ashley MP
  • Willie Hamilton MP
  • Russell Kerr MP
  • Lynda Chalker MP
  • Ann Widdecombe MP
  • Jean Corston MP
  • Paul Boateng MP (Shadow Minister (Business, Innovation and Skills)) House Of Lords
  • Baroness Howe of Idlicote - House Of Lords
  • Ann Keen MP
  • David Amess MP
  • Denis MacShane MP
  • Helen Grant MP
  • Lord Blair of Boughton - House of Lords
  • Steve Pound MP
  • Valerie Vaz MP
  • Mary Macleod MP
  • Ed Vaizey MP
  • Julie Cooper MP

I do wonder if the next person to utter The Name Erin Pizzey in parliament will have to courage to Quote Jack Ashley MP?

That would nicely close the loop of institutional indifference that so many politicians have acquiesced with by their wilful ignorant silence.

"Meanwhile, back on the right of politics, Lucy Allan MP has advocated for feminists who support the day’s aims, saying: “too often we polarise the gender debate to depict men as aggressors and women as victims.

Many women who, like me, have a passion for gender equality and who identify as feminists feel deeply uncomfortable about the increasingly negative caricatures and gender stereotyping of men.”

Hear, hear.

There are feminists who advocate for men's rights, just far too few of them.
