So, the system "works" for men? They never are held in jail for minor infractions? They never have families or debt or mental illness? Why is the suffering of women more important than the suffering of men in the same situation?

Wow, that opening paragraph starts off by justifying her actions. Why is a woman stealing fine but not a man? Do men not experience poverty? Do men not have families?

As long as the reforms focus on fixing prison problems, and not just women's problems in prison, I'm all for it. Sometimes it takes hypocrisy staring people in the face for them to back reasonable reforms.

Women: "We want equal treatment to men!"

Men: "Done. You are now forced to do the same level of work for less pay, and will be tried for crimes without leniency due to your gender. Also, your maternal rights are no longer the catalysts to the end result of child custody hearings."

Women: "The system is now rigged against women! We must strive to reform this unfair treatment of the fairer gender".

Moral of the story; Feminists do not want equal treatment. They want superior treatment. SUPERIOR TREATMENT FOR LESS EFFORT.
