I know the vast majority of women will be turned off if they find out that a guy they like was sexually abused, as it makes him appear less masculine in their eyes.

Women tend to not be sympathetic towards men. They are obviously sympathetic towards other women and children, but most women, whether it's due to nature or nurture, view men as disposable.

But I feel like there have to be some exceptions. Just like there are male outliers (psychopaths, homosexuals, etc.), there might be female outliers (i.e. women who can sympathize with men). I'm hoping that a woman who is unusually sympathetic towards men by nature might be made even more sympathetic if she experienced similar trauma in life.

I was sexually abused as a child, which affects my ability to form relationships. I have issues with touching, and I'd really like to be with a woman who could be sympathetic and offer emotional support. I would also love to be with someone who I could open up completely to.

I met this very beautiful sweet girl who seems to like me back. She recently told me that she masturbates to men masturbating and gay men having sex, but she isn't particularly turned on by straight sex. That makes me feel like there's some past experience that makes her feel uncomfortable at the idea of a man being sexual with a woman. Whether it's due to abuse or not, I feel like she would understand how its like to be attracted to someone but to be scared of being intimate with them, although I admit I might be jumping to conclusions.

I feel like it would make her more likely to be sympathetic. I would also be completely willing to help her out with her own issues. And I feel like she would be less likely to reject me if I opened up to her.

Is it stupid of me to think that being with a girl who was also abused could make being in a relationship easier? Is it likely to make things even more complicated?

I don't know if this is relevant, but according to strangers on the internet, I'm somewhere between a 7.5-9.5, depending on who's responding. I have also been approached by women in the past, which leads me to believe I'm likely at least somewhat good looking. I'm certainly not a Chad, but I don't think I was cucked by God in the looks department. Is it possible my appearance could subconsciously be making her be more sympathetic towards me?

I know that women are naturally unsympathetic towards men, but this girl might be an exception. I was already rejected by a girl in the past because I wanted to take things slow. But this girl has been really patient and understanding, which I almost can't believe. I feel like there has to be a catch.
