Also worth noting, about 70% of domestic violence is reciprocal (and of non-reciprocal violence, it's mostly female perpetrators) - often couples with substance abuse problems / anger management issues / etc who hit each other. When they say "there's no such thing as a perfect victim", it's not entirely true (some victims are innocent); but a lot of victims are also perpetrators. Ignoring violence against men is ignoring one of the largest predictors of violence against women.
