Is it a bad idea to tell girls you're seeing you were cheated on in you're last relationship?

yes, dont do it. just keep it short and simple and somewhat positive.. "she was a nice girl, just didnt work out". leave it that.

for reference. i made the mistake telling my gf of an ex, when she asked detailed questions (thinking, be honest about it, nothing to hide). and when i said she walked all over me and how i was an idiot for chasing her and changing my life to make it work out, etc, my gf broke down into tears and it followed with a ton of comfort tests. she then felt sad because i apparently dont put in the effort into our relationship that i did with my ex... (i do, just obviously more RP geared affection/attention)

yea.... learned from that one... say less. be positive. it makes you look like the good guy rather than a pussy.

Yeah. Pre-selection. She's gonna assume that you are the kind of guy that can get cheated on. Major loss of respect.

Years before TRP, I had an LTR whom was pregnant (i was 17) and I was with her for months before finding out that the baby wasn't mine.

I was of course devastated. She was my unicorn and I was excited for that baby. I told the next girl I was talking to what happened (she ended things like a week after). And I told my LTR after her (was with her for 5 years, she brought it up a few times in arguments).

It was never good. I thought that telling them would help them understand me and understand if I had any trust issues or anything, but it just backfired.

I personally don't think it matters. At the beginning when she is into you if you tell her the truth she gets to reward herself with some "aww I would never to do that to you" wishful thinking. Of course she eventually will once she gets bored and then she may look back and laugh at you for being a sad sack who gets cheated on. But who cares by that point.
