Brilliant in so many ways.

I see their posters now and again. It is refreshing

I'm surprised you can't see the insidious propaganda in this message, the deliberate association of the word 'man' with a definition that states men are not allowed to express feelings about beauty. It simply isn't true, read great poetry, novels and plays, look at the history of art, men are not shamed for aesthetic appreciation of for talking about it.

Do not trust CALM, they want you to believe that being a man is the equivalent of being emotionally disabled, so that they can indoctrinate you with their ideological cure.

I don't think the ad is directed at William Wordsworth. It's directly outside of a cancer hospital in Sheffield, definitely not a place where mental health is going to be great.

I know these ads aren't perfect, but I'm just happy to see something where men are the focus, because in reality we're the ones who need help the most.

There's obvious propaganda behind it. It suggests that the patriarchy is expecting men to be unemotional... next thing, they will ask you to embrace you feminine emotionality. Men don't need a patriarchy to be cold and unemotional, that's just the way we are. We don't need help like women do, that's why men don't go to the therapist. We don't need empathy from an old therapist, in most cases, we need novelty or stress relief. It won't help to cry, unless you're someone who's dependent on other's nurturance: most men are not.

Dear Idiot Social Justice Worrier .

May I Ask if you have ever interacted DIRECTLY with CalmZone? (I do expect the answer to be NO).

Don't fall into the trap of following The World of Elam with him picking apart one interview featuring Jane Powell, CEO . I frequently interact with Calm Zone and they are a positive learning organisation which takes feedback on language very positively AND THEN ACTS ON IT.

Their Front Line workers are Hungry for information and Knowledge on how they can help. Unlike other organisations you only have to highlight an issue once and see results. Look at the Samaritans where in 2012 they said of themselves:

We need to move from blaming men for not being like women, to recognising their needs,

It's such a pity that daily I receive reports from men in the UK who have been abused by female samaritans (and what appears to be a growing incidence) 'cos they make the right noises in their reports, but fail to train their volunteers to stop being sexist. If you tell a calm volunteer that the Samaritans demand you have talk about feelings ONLY and are abused if you do not ... they are shocked and wonder why The differences between men and women in suicide are ignored by Samaritans.

You may also need to consider "Darling" that the advert is not just aimed at your limited mindset, but also at all people who see it.

You see "insidious propaganda". Other's See, "Hadn't thought of that", "I mustn't do that", "I wish they wouldn't do that" and even "Someone gets how I feel - I want to speak to them".

If CALM Zone is so much about Propaganda I wonder if you would give us all your Pearls Of Wisdom on this poster:

MENSHUN: to change the subject when a guy says how he feels

There are many other examples as well - please do tell us all how all of them are a poster conspiracy of oppression of men by the Matriarchy!

Do please try to stop sounding like an undergraduate student and social justice worrier with a poor quality education in Tumblr and Twatter activism.... and also do place a monitor warning on future Ironies you post. It's taken me an hour to clean up the espresso from me desk and monitors. P¬))

Well said.

I was angry at first, typical feminist shaming neologisms...

but look at the genius of it. Sucker the 'right on' types who'll agree and then hit them with the suicide statistic.

Just as they're congratulating themselves on how caring and sensitive they are, give them a fact they either have to accept or reject that self image.

#Manguage - How the poor oppressed men can't be more like women (in this case, use their vocabulary), because of toxic masculinity.

Bitch, if I want to blather on about mauve and taupe and coral and seafoam, I will. Most of the time I go with brown and orange and shit like that, because I don't care.
As to flowers - who gives a fuck, really? Oh, that's right, women. (Although to be honest the only orchid aficionados I have met are men. As with anything else, at the extremes where something becomes difficult the men get separated from the boys, and the women don't perform well.)
