Some people think being a drama llama = expressing their emotions.

There's a difference between processing emotions, and processing emotions in a way that drives away everyone who would otherwise suport you. Men probably have a finer line between the two (because women are allowed to be a bit more "emotional"). But that doesn't mean men can't "stoically" deal with negative emotions in a positive way, and men a usually as good as anyone at expressing postitive emotions.

YES YES

The final Fantasy series features stories that are heavily laced with emotions despite the fact that most of the games feature male protagonists. I mean they have a game where the protagonist saves people hearts which sounds like some sailor moon type shit. The difference is that final Fantasy explores these emotions in a much more grandiose and wide sweeping way. When you do that men seem to have no problem with relating to the male characters even if they sparkle.

In fact I talk about in another other post

how men relate to male characters that pretty much look like women Men don't go the extra one percent with a wardrobe change because they see women as these creatures that will shrivel up into a ball when you call them darling. A word that isnt even gendered. Meanwhile men can take being called dicks.

I've gone as far at to agrue that gender is indeed a social construct however men just a take a look women and their like " am I going to be pathetic as that?"

And I actually think this discerning nature of men to only enjoy emotional stories that are of a certain the scope and size to be a positive thing. Final Fantasy is way better then the crap you see in downton abbey. These stories are much more realistic

I also think this lack of discernment that women have is directly related to the feminist movement. Society inconveniences women so obviously society should be made to change overnight which is a belief that is in stark contrast to these epic stories where you usually see a negotiation going with the powers that be before a change happens or massive interconnected shift the publics perception.

This lack of engagement that women have with societies problems is what causes all them to be dumped on men which in turn makes men suffer more.

Feminists prattle on and on about how the invisible "patriarchy" conspiracy harms men because it keeps us from expressing our emotions the way women do.

We men don't want to wear our emotions on our sleeves, to depend on external support, and to wallow in our woes instead of taking action to control our situations. We might cry and lean on friends and relatives when a parent or child or partner dies, but not when things go badly at work or when some random insults us.

This is classic projection. Feminists apparently fail to divine the fact that men have different psychologies on account of biology, not culture. They seem to think that they are the gold standard of humanity - not that there are in fact two gold standards, one for men and one for women. The seem to think we are wired to be like them. We are not.
