It is amazing that so many allegedly smart people, such as those who work in government, can't or refuse to realize that most of the problems they associate with prostitution, such as pimping, drugs, violence, etc., are the result of criminalisation, not prostitution itself.

The effort to criminalize and destroy prostitution and pornography has had more to do with controlling men than with helping women.

150 hookers murdered since 1990 doesn't seem that high at all. Seems the government is trying to make safe an industry that is.already safe enough. We need to stop spending so much time and money on issues that affect few people and invest more education to tach women other to sell their bodies from the start.
