Thank you and yes I do miss him. He wasn't a perfect man and he'd be the first to tell you that but I do miss him. Funniest and most loyal man I've ever known.

2nd best story. He had had 3 open heart surgeries so he had a handicapped parking pass even though he still worked a full time physical job. We went to the store to pick up some things and this person comes running at him yelling and screaming how she needed that spot because her knees hurt (likely her weight) and he was just "stealing" that spot from deserving and needing people like her. He didn't get mad, this 6'7" man just calming undid the buttons on his shirt and showed her the scar from where they cracked open his chest and very flatly said "Did you want to trade?"

It was great to watch the horror on her face as she rushed to apologize.

Personal favorite: Our family had bought a dishwasher. Simple enough right? Wrong you could put clean dishes in this thing and they came out dirty. The repair guy from the store (A one off place, not a chain) had been out multiple times and couldn't get the thing fixed. It's towards the end of the year and The warranty is up early the next. So after the sixth or so time of them being at the house and knowing our warranty is up soon Dad goes to the store. He says to the customer service person he wants to see the manager. He tells this manager "This has gone on long enough, it has never worked right I want a new dishwasher." The manager says it's against store policy, they fix things not replace them. Dad mentions the guys had been out multiple times to no avail and that the warranty was almost up. Manager stands firm. So my Dad, never to take one laying down "I have two weeks off at Christmas when work shuts down, I also have several weeks vacation built up. How I'm going to spend that time is standing on the public sidewalk out front until you have a full store. When that happens I'm going to come in here raising hell about that piece of shit dishwasher you sold me. I'll then leave when the store is empty, go back out on the sidewalk and do it again. I'll do this until my time is up or you replace the dishwasher. But until it's made right that's my plan."

The manager then says "Sir we can have a new dishwasher to you tomorrow."
