Reading the coverage it just all has such a common pattern that those who have escaped or worked with escapees can recognize all too well.

I have alarm bells ringing and they peal out "Steven Hawking- Steven Hawking".

As a cripple, who has been about as people became more disabled, I have seen the escalation of abuse and violence all too often. I know it's only anecdotal, but every time It's been a female abuser, with all around her excusing the abuse, and male carers being the one's stepping in to provide not just care but having to act as a shield from the abuser.

I'm also aware of just how hard it is to get authorities such as he police to believe what is happening (It often is Domestic Abuse) whilst hey are only too happy to hear a counterclaim or excuses from the FEMALE carer.

The numbers are really bad because this is rarely studied, but somewhere between 20-40% of men suffer from domestic abuse. Add to that most woman on man domestic violence isn't reported because most men don't even know they are being abused.
