I am using a throwaway because I don't want to give away my identity.

The New Zealand Herald's parent company is applying to merge with the other major newspaper publisher in my country to form a major news print conglomerate with effectively 100% marketshare in print. This means that they are uniquely vulnerable to complaints about their editorial practices because they need to show themselves as being above reproach in order to have their proposed merger approved.

They recently ran a series of articles about domestic violence that were biased when taken as a whole, and inaccurate as well as misleading. Today I have officially complained to them about this recent 30+ article series they ran. I hope that I can cause them to issue an apology as well as give the opportunity to run a male issue focused series to balance their previous female centric domestic violence series.

Notice how the focus is female centric; with male unreciprocated violence as the primary focus and female victims being the biggest focus. When they use gendered pronouns in many of the articles after gender non-specific ones they tend to use females.
