Cheating or game?

I already sense this is going to be an emotionally charged topic, and people will disagree with this, but here goes.

You have to ask yourself what exactly constitutes cheating. Back when marriage was assumed to be the only allowed place for sex, the concept of unfaithfulness made sense: it was about breaking your vow and going against a clearly defined moral standard. But in a context of free sex, hookups and serial monogamy, I find I can't decide what exactly constitutes cheating. Why is spinning plates ok when a LTR plus a hookup isn't? People like to talk about the "assumption of exclusivity", but when the same culture talks about "explicit and enthusiastic consent" to clear a man of a suspicion of rape, I can only chuckle. Under the current rules, if you have a girlfriend, sleep with another woman, than dump said girlfriend to be with the new one, you're a cheating asshole. Yet if your girlfriend meets a guy, decides she likes him, but diligently tells you "you're no longer together" prior to sexual contact with the guy, she's all A-OK. Doesn't make much sense, does it?

Dalrock had a very good point about the current social rules regarding sex. They are all biased for the benefit of women. Serial monogamy, or hopping from one guy to the next until you find the best you can have and locking him down is the optimal strategy to satisfy hypergamy, the female mating strategy. This is now good and "moral". The male strategy, polygamy, would be best satisfied with spinning plates, which differs from "cheating" only through the use of deceit. But that deceit is of the same nature as women lying about their sexual past. Both do it because saying the truth might hurt the other person and make them less inclined to give what the person wants (commitment from the beta, sex from the LTR girlfriend). Once you understand this, you'll be able to treat cheating the same way as undisclosed past sexual partners, and decide for yourself whether your strategy is opportunistic enough to warrant it. Also, if you know your girlfriend attempted to hide her past sexual partners from you in the hopes of locking you down, you may not feel bad at all for getting some other sexual partners of your own.

TL;DR: "cheating" on your girlfriend is the guy equivalent of a girl concealing/lying about her sexual past. See where you stand on that issue and choose accordingly.

It's a question of integrity. If you have told this girl she is your gf, it's pretty obvious cheating is a dick move and making the commitment was a mistake.

I think trp is about being assertive and serving your own needs rather than whoever you are in a relationship with. Still its not an excuse to be deceptive.

What kind of hairbrained question is that? Cheating makes you a piece of shit, regardless of gender. Running game on a woman can, but does not need to lead to sex. Know your limits/boundaries. If you feel the need to assert your SMV over that of your woman, you employ what TRP calls "dread game", but you don't cheat on someone you agreed to be monogamous with.

TRP is about making yourself happy because nobody else gives a shit about you. Even the woman you love likes you because of the tingles in her gina that you give her, not because of who you are inside.

So cheat on her if you want, she is replaceable while you are not.

Looks like you let someone only worthy of plate status attain gf status. Don't try to downgrade her back to a plate because women do not go backwards in desired commitment like men will not go backwards in level of sexual access, if you want to keep fucking her you'll have to let her think she's your GF when she's not. It's pretty immoral but if you want to fuck a girl and she'll only fuck you on the pretense you commit then you can feign commitment and simply label a FWB a GF and then be aloof/busy throwing her bones to keep her in orbit, not endorsing that option but sharing the knowledge with you, what you do with it is your call.

In my personal opinion if you upgrade a plate to GF status she better be worth it, spinning plates is easier for a young guy than having a GF. Girlfriends are demanding and generally take more from you than they give. They're time parasites, they suck up all your time on pointless shit and add stress, demand and expectation to your life. When you're young and trying to make it in life you don't need all that crap. 20's for a man is building his SMV/Power so when he's in his 30's he has options to transition into a "settling down" lifestyle with a nice young early 20s girl.

If not, is it ever acceptable?

I recommend spinning plates over being in an LTR and cheating on a girl as you get a lot more poon and it's a lot less messy (for you and for them) ..telling all these different girls they're your girlfriend when they're not leads to false expectations and the fallout could be messy and fuck with your reputation in all kinds of unsuspecting ways (positive: he's a player, negative: you get a shit ton of haters, can you handle all that heat?)

Cheating isn't game, cheating is cheating. Game is building attraction. Spinning plates is maintaining multiple attraction with multiple women and fucking them all on your own terms. Read the sidebar. Have fun.
