I turn 40 two weeks from today and while I have a great career, home, and lots of friends, i'm still fearing the next milestone birthday. Experienced with TRP so I never married and no kids thank god, but I live in a small town, everyone gets married here, and fuck it's hard to find a chick your friend hasn't banged or isn't in a relationship already. Especially when you're well known in the area and there's little mystery around you.

Just looking for some advice on how to approach the next phase of my life. Had a great time the last few years with a younger group of friends who all literally got married and had kids the last 2 years. They're in the same category my friends my age were 10 years ago now.

I do mostly online dating, and usually am in an LTR, but in the last couple months my grandfather who was my best friend died in an accident, and my LTR and I broke up. I've lost 70 pounds the last year and I'm in great shape. Get constant compliments, but God as my witness I've never been rejected this much in my life. I swear I got more attention when I was pushing 270lbs. It's almost comical. Fucked a 21 year old a couple weeks ago, things were going great, then she ghosts me. Had a couple others straight tell me to fuck off. Never had this problem before even as a fatass. Since learning of TRP about 7 years ago, I've had little problem getting laid or having a gf. Not sure why it's fell off a fucking cliff lately.

Anyway, maybe it's the death of my best friend and the dude who raised me along with the breakup of my LTR and the recent rejection that has my head all fucked up. Maybe I'm experiencing a midlife crisis? Maybe I come off as needy since I'm hurting right now?

Can anyone in the 35+ crowd give me advice on how to navigate life as the older guy who didn't get married whose friends all are?

Or Anyone in a small town where you know everyone have any advice. If I wasn't doing so well financially I'd move, but I literally can't right now.
