Instead of women getting 4 times the parental leave men get, now they get 6 times as much parental leave as men. I've heard the argument that women need recovery time and I get it, but first, I think that should be disability or at least something other than parental leave and second I don't believe that is the case here.
I'm assuming that after the original 6 weeks it was realistic to expect women to return to work. We're talking about extensions here. If they extended mothers by 6 weeks, they should have extended fathers the same or at least bring them up to 6 weeks total.
