Who can say what is going on in another person's head? You can't disprove someone's inner identity, and I don't see how it is anyone's business but their own.

The only 'dog I have in the fight' in regards to somebody else's sexuality & sexual identity is a vague moral responsibility to prevent people from self-harming. Gender re-assignment is pretty much permanent. Right now, it is up to the whim of the surgeon, but 'Do No Harm' and gender reassignment leaves a lot of room for interpretation.

If scientists say that Gender Dysphoria is real, then it is real - which is how I can support a person's right to get their balls chopped off, but not their right to chop their hand off.
