Freed For Killing Man Thought Husband

"Mrs. Tolbert, who shot and killed Matt Green, an innocent bystander here Monday, when she went gunning for her husband was exonerated late today by a coroner's jury. The coroner's jury held that the slaying of Green was accidental and that Mrs. Tolbert was justified in trying to end the mortal existence of her husband who she claimed sent her to the hospital with a broken rib as the result of a beating. The woman fired at her husband when he drew up in front of their home in an automobile. Green, who was riding with Tolbert, stopped the bullet, he died before reaching a hospital."
