Since when has consent, love or parental responsibility been sufficient enough to excuse someone of culpability in a case of statutory rape? I'm sure male pedophiles might "love" their victims...some even might be fathers or have fathered children of their victims...and in many cases the minor might have been in complete agreement with the act of intercourse...but apparently according the law, only minors who are women can't be blamed in an act of consensual sex with another minor and can't legitimately consent to sex with an adult. There is NO excuse for statutory rape. Sex with any MINOR is illegal. It is important to note that the law cannot assume that boys can't be victims because only THEY WANT AND ENJOY SEX and that ONLY THEY WANT SEX ALL THE TIME.
