I'm seeing more and more of this: feminists using "mansplaining" accusations to deal with being publicly proven wrong

Female BBC manager publicly declines promotion over pay inequality | After she threw a public tantrum, it's revealed that the male manager had several years more experience than her, justifying the difference in pay. The BBC is standing firm for once - good for them!

Imagine the outrage & hysteria if an article like this was written about women: "So thirsty I could drink the pool"

Woman divorced her husband and got $15m. He later listed his company on the stockmarket and earned $93m. You guessed it: she's now suing him for more money...

The presumptions she makes are astoundingly self centered and egotistical. Reads like most other feminist "logic" as just plain sexism.

At least she's getting roasted in the comments.

"conquering" sounds oppressive. After she's conquered will she submit fully?

If you are feminists enough to want the same amount of money as a man you are feminists enough to pay your bills.

[–]throwawayincelacc 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They don't want the same amount of money as a man. They want more money.

Men biologically need more food, men pay more for insurance for the same car / age / distance travelled per year, men have their incomes slashed in divorces to supplement women's wallets, men tend to have to drive more which adds on gas and repairs, men receive the same pay for the same job. But then women want men to pay for everything in dating + they want to earn more than what men earn as a baseline.

He was also my type — tall, blonde hair, with a perfectly white smile.

Say you're superficial without saying you're superficial.

Although it is an unpopular opinion, being a feminist has nothing to do with that belief. For me, both ideas can co-exist perfectly.

And now to eat the whole cake, and the pie, and whatever else fancies me all at someone else's cost. Feminism to get more privileges, but let's keep the privileges of the old system too.

When you let him pay the bill, it’s a way to say that you demand to be treated well. It’s like you’re saying, “I know what my worth is, and I don’t accept being mistreated.”

You measure your own worth by a man paying for your dinner. You think splitting the bill is a red flag / you being mistreated. What an absolute joke of a human being.

Feminism is about being equal.

No, I don't think it is. Up until here, 15 or so paragraphs later, you haven't made a single statement about how you should equally be showing him interest, and treating him well.

Even when the man pays for the date, women have to spend more money. Before leaving the house, women invest tremendously in the date.

They are what I like to call the “hidden costs of a date.” You will likely buy new clothes (or at least wear your best clothes) and makeup. If you genuinely care about the date, you’ll also go to a beauty salon to have your entire body shaved and have your nails done. Not to mention the investment of time.

Except, he asked you out without you having done all these things. He could equally buy new clothes too. Men's makeup exists, and men have a tremendous amount of investment called working out which is a constant time investment, more than what women tend to put in.

So yes, men also have hidden costs at times.

But the male efforts will never be equal to the female efforts when it comes to looks.

Except you've clearly never even considered how much time goes into these things for men.

And again, by the end of the article, she's never once suggested she should treat the man equally.

Her other articles are all centered around men having to stand up and be the leader / have confidence and all that other stuff.

It also looks like she deleted all the comments on the article that she didn't like, and probably blocked everyone on twitter that brought up any issue.

"I paid for this rented suit, rented sportscar, rented golden watches, this wig to hide my baldness, these high platform boots to appear taller. That means you have to pay for me".

Yea, I don't see why it's a man's responsibility to pay for her brand new anything for a first date.

[–]ifrankenstein 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hidden costs...girl, I didn't ask you to go to the salon and shave your whole body. That's on YOU. I don't want to see a false representation of what you look like in real life. Wash your hair, brush your teeth, and don't stink. Not too expensive.

Anyone else notice how the guy that checks all her boxes is literally the same as one who checks hitler's boxes?

Just saying, the term feminazi is looking mighty precise.

Anyway, she's a rather entitled lassie ain't she?

[–]Stahlboden 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Feminism is about being equal. Knowing what you expect from a man and voicing your needs empowers you. It’s the foundation for a healthy relationship.

Cognissonance.

Bleep-bloop, I'm a bot. This portmanteau was created from the phrase 'Cognitive dissonance?' | FAQs | Feedback | Opt-out

Feminism is about equality and equality means that women come up with rationalizations to advocate for treating men and women unequally.
