Although the wording of the law is gender neutral. We're already seeing gender bias in the official media campaign surrounding the law change.

If the police are already releasing posters where all purportraters are men and all victims are women, it does not bode well for how these laws are going to be applied. We can already see the bias in effect in the application of existing DV laws.
