what a shitty article, if they weren't such ignorant fucks they would know that real Fighter pilot voice commands are usually female voices too, because the human factors science points to the fact that you are more likely to obey and notice and not challenge a mature female voice.

I.e in simple terms, you subconsciously take more heed and comply better with a mature female voice than a male voice.

so being asked to "Pull up" when it matters these things make a difference.

Video games have modelled themselves around this real world system (unknowing to them)

Men like to hear womens voices, and men ususally build any kind of system. Therefore the developers of video games make their AI voices female.

There are a host of AI in Mass Effect and essentially every one other than EDI is male. (Legion, essentially all the Geth, The Reapers, the AI from project Overlord).

This is confirmation bias if I've ever seen it. There are plenty of male AIs.
