This is what he plans to blog about for the next few days, so make sure to check it out. Now that his posts on ISIS have gotten traffic, he's going to address whether the US is a matriarchy or a patriarchy, this should be good, no matter how it goes. Adams has a habit of dwelling on uncomfortable topics that other people don't want to discuss; that's why I read his blog every morning.

Here's his post on ISIS from a short time ago, I found it interesting in how he discusses how human beings think (NOTE: this can help your game, learn to understand how human beings actually think, as opposed to what you believe they think):

He notes that ridiculous, unbelievable rumors travel faster than the truth. Here's how the truth turns into the lie:

Case in point, last week I compared the ISIS system – in which rape is used as a recruitment tool – to our civilized system of mutual consent. Predictably, that morphed into “cartoonist favors rape” and Twitter lost its shit. (It was a good weekend for my blog traffic.) Why did people believe I came out in favor of rape? They believed it because it is unbelievable. They tweet it because it is unbelievable. They get mad because they don’t want to live in a world with people who display such unbelievable behavior. Rarely do they stop to consider that unbelievable things are usually false. Our brains tell us exactly the opposite – that the story is so crazy it must be true.

So, if you're keeping score at home, that means:
1. famous cartoonist says that ISIS uses rape as a recruitment tool.
2. twitter says famous cartoonist favors rape.

Despite the fact that Adams never said the second one, that was twitter's reaction because its the best kind of rumor: Its Kardashian-level innuendo. Finally, here's a third article from a "mainstream, liberal" news source that actually contains truth (but that no one will ever read or use, so you should read it and use it):

Journalists ask famous psychologist how to argue (i.e. "persuade" people that they're right, that is, what Donald Trump is good at, according to Adams), and famous psychologist says that we're talking to each other in different languages, and they we don't understand each other and that if you want to convince someone, you need to put it in their language (rule of power: always appeal to people's self interest, never anything else). Or, as I learned it from reading Adam's blog, people:

-make a decision first
-find the data to justify their decision second

This is the basis of Adam's twitter reaction (which I think he was counting on), people heard a famous cartoonist talk about uses for rape (neglecting that he was talking about ISIS), and their mind connected the two ideas together and dropped the context. That's how people actually think. People decide first, justify second. Don't fight this natural hard-wiring of the human mind, learn to tilt it to your advantage.

-Don't believe you are above being manipulated by this. Human beings are not very good at context for things, learn to put ideas together for people, and their minds will remove the context for you. You don't have to do that part. Donald Trump is the master at this, learn from the boss.
