The dude lost his job, and hasn't been able to use the internet for the last 3 years because of this.

On top of that, the prosecutor seems to be really incompetent. Elliot's lawyer was very surprised that charges were pressed, considering the nature of the accusation. The latest issue we've seen is that the prosecutor tried to get the charges changed at the last minute. The original charging sheet accused him of knowingly putting his accusers in fear of harm, after the trial was over the prosecutor tried to change the charges to knowingly or recklessly. Elliot's lawyer defended him on a knowingly charge, the prosecutor pulled this trick to make it easier to get a conviction.

His accusers are very well connected feminists in their city, one of them had a quasi-personal relationship with Elliot's arresting officer. It's obviously a hit on men like Elliot who dare to speak up to feminists on the internet.

I've been following this case here and there. I totally agree with Elliot not as a man but as a person who believes in free speech and not uin double standards. these women harrassed a boy programmer because of a game they didn't like and when elliot sticks up for him they turn their sight to him. I just hope they really capitalize oin the character of these women and the fact that they tried to get someone to pose as a minor to label him as a pedophile. Really speaks to the credibility of their case if they have to go to such extreme lengths. If I was his lawyer I;d use examples of mental instability of these women. Clearly they're Sarkeesian fanatics. Similar to Muslims defending Mohamed, they took to extreme measures to persecute a man exercising free speech, and sticking up a for a boy who didn't deserve their harassment.
