It would seem that whatever she was doing wasn't reason enough for him to physically intervene. He only got physical when she told him to f-off. There's not enough in this article to make any judgement on who was right or wrong (other than he shouldn't have gotten physical).

Uh, no. She was yelling at her daughter, then the guy butts in, then when the mother confronts him, he attacks her. This is 100% the guys fault.
