(Serious) What is a worse criminal charge, being falsely accused of rape, or admitting to filming the sex behind her back to prove the sex was consensual?

We've been over this and had a great thread on stuff you can do to prevent false accusations. I think it needed to be stickied, but how to film sexual encounters legally was run thoroughly. I've since taken many of these steps personally.

Have a security camera wherever the hell you want in your home EXCEPT for areas that have a "reasonable expectation of privacy," such as a bathroom. The bedroom and living room are both perfectly legal to put cameras in.

1a. Have a conspicuously posted sign on the property informing people that the property is under surveillance.

Have a dashcam in your car with at least a microphone and preferably two way cameras that film the cabin of the car. (There are tons of reasons to get a dashcam).

In the UK and I believe Europe it is not illegal to film sexual encounters secretly.

It doesn't really matter. She can just argue that she didn't fight or say no, but you never asked for consent. Bam. You're a rapist.

See, here's the deal. Presumably you would only be falsely accused of rape once. From one particular encounter. However, to fully protect yourself in this scenario, you would need to secretly film all of your encounters. Each separate secret filming is a separate crime. So one decent subpoena that seizes your technology, depending on how active you have been for how many years, could easily subject you to lots and lots of separate criminal charges. The statute of limitations for criminal charges on rape is very liberal. Meaning you would need to keep the "evidence", which is also the evidence that can convict you for secretly filming, for a LOT of years. During which time it will accumulate for all your encounters.

Don't do this. Your "defense" can easily destroy you and be worse than a rape charge.
