Okay, it's really really funny seeing people who know about economics less than I do actually talk about what they're going to do with the money they already have.

Put it in a bank? Yeah he can do that, he'll be earning less than 1% on it because they're lending it out constantly and then when the stock market collapses they'll fuck off with it immediately.

Yes, this plan that's been floating around is a load of shit, not just because of how incredibly sexist it is and based on phony statistics but also because the man coming up with the plan is a moron who is going to destroy the wealth he worked hard for because he believes any bullshit that's put in front of him by his favourite news source.

Better plan: tell his daughter to get a degree in something high demand that pays well. If she gets a social sciences degree and then chooses to work part time after kids, she won't make as much.

The wage gap myth also ignores the fact that after marriage it's not like each partner is only spending their individual earnings on themselves. If the husband is getting paid more, he's probably paying most of the mortgage, the wife's car payment, etc. And if they get divorced and she gets custody she'll be getting a handsome payment of either child support or alimony.
