This happened in Canada last year, but with the extra wrinkle of the barbershop being all muslim and they refused on those grounds. The potenial fine was much higher, and ultimately the Human Rights Commission had to seal their ruling under a gag order because the implications of a public ruling would have been explosive.

This guy should have gone the religious route rather than spout off about champagne mimosas.
