I threw up a little in my mouth at the point where being tapped on the shoulder was equated to sexual assault/harassment.

Anyone who has ever taken public transportation has experienced people trying to engage you in conversation when you didn't want to. In fact, having people talk to you is part of living in a society where people actaully talk to each other.

The difference seems to be that some of us see "rape culture" in every "what are you reading", and some of us see a fellow human interested in communicating with us.
