These "I'M GONNA KILL MYSELF" threads (in various places) are just distrubing.

Stop worrying. You aren't the centre of the universe, and virtually no-one cares that you had an account.

There are 30 million accounts. Are your co-workers sure that your boss doesn't have one? Is your boss sure that their boss didn't have one?

The only person who really cares is you, and your spouse. If you think anyone else cares about your sex life, you're just projecting your own level of concern onto them.

What will my friends think?

That you were bored, curious and stupid.

Everyone will know!

Welcome to the internet. It's like the dumb photo from college that some asshole tagged you in on Facebook. Everyone can find it, but anyone who brings it up is an asshole.

My wife will leave me! My kids will find out!

Yeah, maybe, that could be a valid concern. But they are the only person who has the same level of concern as you - no-one else gives a shit.

Politicians, priests, etc - yeah, people will care. Or anyone who used a work email. They'll need to make a mea culpa, then everyone will find some other bullshit to gossip about.

Teachers ... depends. Teachers are probably the most effected, and can expect a bucket of metaphorical shit to come their way, because they'll have a new class every year and kids are shits. But even then, they can probably survive it (career wise) - they're just going to have that award moment every year when some little shit asks if it was them. But then - I've seen (female) teachers keep their jobs despite everyone at the school knowing they were sleeping with (male) students, so it's probably not so bad. A male teacher can probably survive a profile on a dating site.
