  • If you become very sick, but not sick enough for a hospital, supposed to be a man and go stay at a hotel so the wife and kids don't get sick. However, if she gets the same kind of sick, she gets the bedroom, you wait on her hand and foot, stay on the couch, get sick from the constant contact with her (kids a bit too - of course she demands visits and kisses) - then when she gets well enough to take care of herself and you're still sick? You guessed it, hotel.

  • If there any financial problems it's your fault. Even if you only bought necessities and you're in trouble because she couldn't refrain from the newest iphone, shoes, clothes, you get the gist. How do you get out of this hole? By selling your own personal belongings, of course. Guitar you've had since 16? Gone. CD collection you built in youth? Gone. Dog you had before you married? Put up for adoption - need to save on that monthly food bill. And what if they get sick and need a visit to the vet? She gets to keep her cat though. Oh and when you recover financially, do you get to buy something to reward yourself when you have the means again? Nope. In fact, she's been spending that money on herself before you were totally in the clear - if that put you back in the red it'd be your fault, too.

  • Oldie but goodie: Kid good at anything = her side of the family. Kid bad at anything = your side of the family. Not your kid, maybe carryover from her previous relationship or something else? She's doing everything - you aren't spending enough time/not a good enough role model etc. etc.

  • One of her friends or family gets sick or dies. Need to give her space but also attention but definitely a lot of time to sort through her feelings. She gets to bring it up every now and then for the rest of her life to milk sympathy. One of your friends or family dies? Oh well, that's life. Bring it up a year later? Get over it. No one cares.
