By compartmentalize I mean allow yourself to stop worrying/thinking about something that is not immediately affecting you.

Might seem like a joke but an immediate effect is like "you're drowning, you need air, or you will die" sort of thing.

The problem is I've got a lot of stressful issues(pretty much all financial except personal ones eg. aversion to something) and it's hard to focus/be in the moment when I'm worried about something that won't really/physically affect me for a couple of weeks.

I don't know if that's possible/the approach to take like "I will worry about this problem on this time"

I have to be productive particularly in a tech environment soon and I can't get distracted/side tracked by personal stressful situations that aren't physically life threatening(except maybe later, like weeks/months down).

It does come down to solving the problems as well, facing them head on rather than delaying/procrastinating/selling yourself some delusion that isn't true.

One thing I've found that helps is to just break it down on paper... I don't know like a flow chart, worst case scenarios, outcomes, contingency plans... it's just bad though I freak out.

What do you guys do?
