Won't that vary from district to district a lot?

My father works at a large company as a department boss (don't know correct translation of his title), and has over the years been the boss of several different departments.

When he was in charge of the service department, which has a lot of mechanical engineers on staff, he noticed that 4 out of 5 of them had nurses as girlfriends/wives and almost all he interviewed for new positions fit that pattern as well.

Turns out, the nearest place for them to study to be mechanical engineers is right next to the nearest place for people to study to become nurses, and seeing how the gender divide is pretty much 90% men on mechanical and 90% women in nursing, they held their parties together for a more equal split of men and women, and hook-ups obviously happened that way.

TL;DR: Location, Location, Location
