Reminds me of claims of sexism in video games. Anita Sarkesien claims that grand theft auto promotes violence against women. In grand theft auto you can kill pretty much everyone. The only people in the game who you can't kill are people who are important to the game's storyline. All the people who you are required to kill to progress in the game are men. All except one, Catalina from grand theft auto 3. GTA 3 starts out with you and Catalina robbing a bank together. She shoots you in the face and leaves you for dead. You go into a coma and wake up months later and immediately go out for revenge. In order to complete the game's final mission, you must kill Catalina. That is the one and only one time in the entire GTA franchise that you must kill a female character to complete a mission objective. It's possibly to beat all the other games, all main story quests and all side missions without killing a single woman.

Which I've noticed a larger trend in video games. The amount of violence against women is either less than, or at the very most equal to, the amount of violence against men.

There games where you can only kill men.

There are games where you can kill both men and women.

There are games where you can't kill anyone.

I can't think of any games where you can only kill women.

And even in games where you do kill men and women, you usually have to kill way more men, or equal numbers of men and women.

its not just on tv or in movies they enjoy it... plenty of vids on youtube show they like it IRL too
