Well said. I'm glad more men are speaking out against this disgusting misandrist practice. I know that my parents were misled by America's corrupt medical profession who promote pseudoscience as a means of keeping this multimillion dollar a year industry alive. All I ever wanted was for my parents to, at the very least, apologize for what they allowed to happen to me; instead all they did was try to justify by comparing it to vaccinations. They tried to convince me that they did it to protect me from acquiring STDs; even though, Europe has lower STD rates despite the fact that circumcision is rare there. My dad especially seems to have drunk the poison Kool-Ade on this topic. When I brought up the fact that female genital cutting is prohibited regardless of the parents' religious or cultural preferences, he just brushed it off and said, "There's no medical reason for it. It's just done to keep women sexually repressed; circumcision on the other hand has a medical reason for it, and that's to prevent HIV." What a crock! Even if it did prevent HIV, it would still be unethical and illegal if we abided by the 14th Amendment of the constitution. Babies are not at risk of STDs for obvious reasons so there is no reason they couldn't have waited until I was old enough to decide for myself. At which point I would never choose to get mutilated because the purported health benefits have more holes than a batting cage. For some reason, they will not swallow their pride and admit that even though they made a decision that turned out to be wrong, at least they did it with the right intentions. I'm almost beginning to doubt that because I never got an apology from them.
