So a very good friend of mine was telling me that he got a new apartment with his soon to be wife and 3 year old son, and he sign the paperwork and everything, put down $1300 towards the apartment ( i would assume that this is first/last months rent. ) Got everything settle in and moved in and as soon as he comes into the place the landlord I assume, goes up to them and said that he couldn't live there because of a arrest that happened 7 years prior to getting this apartment. So now he can't see his wife or his child when ever he wants to and has to resort to either camping in the woods or crashing a peoples houses 5 days out of the week! Like really, this seems like this is so god damn illegal! He got everything done he needed to get done and then they deny him as he steps foot into the door? How is it legal for someone to pay the rent and not be able to live there at the same time? I mean he can't even see his child!

I live in Connecticut, I am not sure what the laws are for this in CT but it sound illegal to me! If anyone knows about the law and knows if this is illegal please let me me know, you will be helping a family live together!
