What is missed here is that risk-taking is a double-edged sword. When risk leads to failure, those people are often branded losers and are swept under the rug or are openly ridiculed. But when it leads to success, they're called brilliant and are admired and envied.

To paraphrase Christine Hoff Sommers: "Men tend to fail and succeed more spectacularly than women."

Unfortunately, when the media talks about gender inequality, they tend to focus on men's successes rather than their failures, thus projecting an image of male "privilege."

(1) Risk taking is socialised. Males are encouraged to show bravado and take risks from an early age. There are many reasons for this.

(2) Male risk taking has a natural instinctive component. This is because risk taking can have many benefits, such as getting a higher salary (because you took the risk to fucking ask for it).

(3) Authors like this narcissistic femicunt overrate themselves so heavily. They may never take the risks that could lead them to win a Darwin Award, or a Nobel Prize, but don't we all wish they did - then risk taking would be the behaviour of strong women, which must be encouraged, so long as we have huge protection programs in place for those who hurt themselves.
