Apart from the issues facing young boys, who constructed such a comparative study that doesn't pinpoint where the stress is coming from?

It seems like common sense to me that you should try to get some basic insight into the subjects perception of their academic life, home life, sexualized images, etc along with measuring how stressed they are. That just sounds like intentionally half-assed research to me.

As an aside, I'm even surprised preteens are allowed by their parents to go on social media. Maybe I was just lame like that, but I never got a myspace account or a phone until I was 14.
