Their numbers are low. In the US just the lost income alone for associated dropouts is $500 Billion annually. Existential for those kids, but the amazing thing is how much long term damage is done by relatively small financial gain ($50B) of the greedy people hanging on to CPS and family courts. It may be kids for cash for them, but it makes a really decrepit society.
