Considering the fact that women are benefitting more from the welfare state and social security that is financed predominantly by male labour, and that men, unlike women, are offered few other options beside working all their lives to finance the whole machinery, and that men's problems are, both socially and legally, tend to be attributed to their personal incompetence and lack of individual responsibility while women's are often considered to be due to social forces that are beyond their individual control (patriarchy etc.) and require collective effort to overcome, I feel tempted to say that the the situation can be described as "socialism for women and capitalism for men", analogous to the phrase "socialism for the rich and capitalism for the poor". What do you think?
