What bothers me the most is not once did they take chalk of biological differences. Women begin to mature earlier than men do, at 10 and 11 I am not surprised the girls were much taller and faster than the boys they were playing against.

Do you remember when you were in 5th grade? The girls in my glass seemed like giants.

Let's not let boys be boys

That’s not to say girls have to act a certain way. They can kick ass just like boys and be just as tough. Boys can’t, though. We’ve seen what happens when we let boys be boys. They create the America we have today: a racist, sexist, homophobic, war-mongering hellhole. Let’s let girls be girls or girls be boys or girls be whatever they want to be, and let’s let boys be anything but boys. What could possibly go wrong?

Throwing like a girl

Everybody in the press is talking about the girl pitcher in the Little League World Series as if girls pitching is something new and the beginning of the uprising against patriarchy. Now that the media conspiracy of silence has finally been broken, the media informs us, there will be female pitchers everywhere. But it’s been 38 years since The Bad News Bears was a box office smash ... So it’s not like there hasn’t been enough time since the media started encouraging girls to play baseball. (Like I’ve said before, liberals never can remember that they’ve been in charge for generations now, so in their minds, their ideas haven’t failed, they’ve just never been tried.)

personally i don't see this as a boy vs girl situation. I see this as a team that is set out to win vs playing for fun.

The story even says that girls join and quit because it's to hard. I doubt many of the boys teams train even close to it.

This is more of a story about a good coach making sure the girls understand the fundamentals and train hard.

I like the fact that girls beat boys. Good for them.

I'm just upset that the article (and not the girls or team themselves, mind you, just the article) seems to make fun of the fact that these boys were crying. And trying to imply that these girls should be proud, not for winning the game, but for making boys cry. As if causing pain in another human being is something to be proud of.

Rather than comforting the boys, telling them it's okay and that there's nothing to be ashamed of in losing to a girl, we'd rather laugh at them, completely discount their feelings and let them know that their emotions are not valued, and tell them to "get over it".

Great.
